Re: Just a request.
Feel a little better after a night's sleep. Getting to el aeropuerto on time, customs, bag checks, transportation, being searched, then driving three hours to Waynesville from Charlotte after dark (wifey, not me), Geez!!! We were exhausted.Well, we went snorkeling, visited the Mayan runes at Chichen Itza, shopped (of course ), ate the most delicious, tree ripened papaya and pineapple, vine ripened canteloupe, watermelon, and other food like plantains, King crab, lobster tail, crab claws, grilled-Gulf shrimp, pork tortillas w/ a special salsa, creme brulee w/ coffee, had a few daquiris ( strawberry, banana and, MMM-MMM, mango) a mudslide martini, a Cancun Blue martini (yuk! ), a lovely rose wine and a couple of beers (Yes, I made up for what I've been missing ), sat in the jacuzzi, walked by that beautiful, turquoise blue ocean ( Waves don't crash like that at Myrtle Beach), watched a magnificent sunset together, sent out post cards and took pictures (No, duh!! ), had morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the lagoon while a Carribean breeze eased over my face . Gosh!!, it was hard to get on that jet and leave . But, makes facing radiation and possibly experimental therapy a little easier (I used this "crud" to get out of a time share squeeze. Once I told 'em about life w/ ECD, they didn't have the heart to tighten the vice . I'm bad, I know ).So, that was the gist of our second honeymoon. The best part of it is that my wife and I came back having grown even closer. That's all that really matters, ain't it?

You bet, Walt. But I bet the trip wasn't too awful either. You made the food sound positively delectable......yummy! (not the mention the drinks)I hope you're able to post pics somehow. I'd love to see. So glad you made this trip.

Well, went in for my radiation consult today. They took me in a room and made a mask for me (Never thought I was THAT ugly ). I will prob'ly start Thursday or Friday as far as the one behind my eyes. He wants to hit my legs, too, since there's so much pain involved in both of them. "Then" we may talk further about different meds.YEEEEEHAAA!!!!!

Do you have time to read a few things Walt? Lotta love going on around here. Might make ya feel better. Then again... you have every right to feel like tearing someone's head off. Sure, Steve-O. I have a rudimentary knowledge of putting letters together to make words and decipher them. Whatcha got in mind?I do start radiation tomorrow morning, Thursday, at 10:30 AM. They'll radiate me (Well, I already radiate ) for 10 straight days, minus weekends and Thanksgiving. I asked about those other meds, Vinblastine & Aredia. They are heavy duty Chemotherapeutic drugs. So, they probably wouldn't work fer me. I don't want a sunburn on top of my pate anyway .

You hang on, Walt. Rads aren't bad and I've seen them really relieve symptoms. There is some tiring in acute treatment like yours but that's okay, you can handle that. A lil rest and you're good ta go after.Thinkin' of you, Walt. Nothin' but love foi ya.

Whoa! I see what they mean about the fatigue after the radiation treatments. I was thinking, "Hey!, no prob", until we stood up to leave this afternoon. Now, I feel like it's nappy time.I can't find my teddy-bear.

According to my nurse this morn, I'll get set up for radiation on my legs tomorrow, Tuesday, after they nuclify my brain. And on it goes!!!
