Well, they got my legs all marked up and are ready to begin radiation on them starting Monday. So, I'll have five more days. But, those days will include both my head & legs. How was everybody's turkey day? I know Squids musta been wonderful .

I know Squids musta been wonderful .Well, when you're having that radiation, think of a Southern Thankgiving menu, and maybe that will be of some comfort. Here's the typical Thanksgiving menu in my home.....ummmm, good. Turkey with cornbread dressing Gravy Cranberry sauceApple, pecan and pumpkin piesSweet potato casseroleRed velvet cakeYeast rollsGreen bean casseroleFried cornStrawberry pretzel saladDeviled eggsSouthern relish---chow-chowSweet pickles Stuffed celeryHomemade cheese strawsAnd LOTS of 'sweet tea' to wash it down.I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Walt. And the good news is no one in the neighborhood set their houses on fire this year fryin' those turkeys! (inside Southern joke)

"Think" of a Southern Thanksgiving?!! Man, I "AM" Southern, born & raised. My oldest bro-in-law likes to deep fry the turkey to keep it moist. We have the green bean casserole I love, pumpkin & peecan pie, Home made stuffing, biscuits, etc., etc.. I miss Thanksgiving at home. Now, we just get a one lb. turkey breast, stuffing from a box and store bought pie. My wife has to work. Double time and all, and I'm grateful for all she does considering all she does to take care of me. I still miss the 20 or so of us getting together and chowin' down on the family's homemade fixin's.
