To listener # 95. Really? I can see if the fit is not right. Upbeat, contemporary latin themed pop, with universal lyrics, I might add. If La De Da is not general enough lyrically, then what in the world would be. No names, places or anything that would be specific.
Oh, and vocal performance?? Really? It reminds me of my mother. The word and reason she used - because; does not even have any logical basis. You should at least put a box that reads : BECAUSE , no reason, just because. If you are the go-to for pop vocals, we are all in trouble.
Individuality is dying art form. What will all the indie people do when the industry remembers what vocal pitch actually is. You've all forgotten. D.B.

I was trying to keep it down for a while. But enough is enough! No, I'm just kidding. I guess I'll chalk it up to - 'wrong song, wrong time...' . It really helps the determination factor. And yes to Casey, I am reading a book called "The Secrets Of Songwriting", by Susan Tucker. It contains the musings of Jason Blume, Stewart Harris, and someone I happen to know, Chuck Cannon. Great insight into what each of them do as songwriters, and where they get their inspiration and craft. Highly recommend. D.B.

Screener #95 is one of their best in the film/TV arena. Yes, he/she is tough and very picky about vocal performance: not just pitch but emotion and expression, because those are critical factors in music supervisors selecting songs.

I like this screener so much that I usually ASK for Screener #95 on custom critiques. Almost always, the issue of vocal performance is mentioned as a limiting factor for film/TV. But I'd rather hear that from an expert than delude myself into thinking my track is something it's not.

Screener #95 is one of the best screeners out there. We are lucky to have this person listening and giving us feedback.

Just a note that when you request a custom, you can say that a particular screener is PREFERRED and request that person but there are no guarantees. The screener you requested may not be available in any reasonable timeframe, for example.
