Every song is great, there is no such thing as a bad song.
Hmmmmm... You' ve obvioulsy not heard ALL of the ones I have here.

Of course there are bad songs! That doesn't mean that songs not forwarded or placed are necessarily bad songs-- they could be good or even great ones that just don't fit.

nah, a song is 'sounds making words' - and choosing to go up sometimes, down sometimes and choosing to arrive back at the same place it started ... sometimes

just comunication between people .. no bad in that ... ever !

starting from that perspective, the world is always much brighter

I care about the critiques no different than I would a band member, In some ways even more so, because these folks have a better clue than I do about the industry and I don't con myself into believing I know better.

Sure, my music, is my music and when I write it for me that's who it's for, but those songs I RARELY play for others and perhaps someday I'll get them printed. The songs I play for others... is me, trying to entertain people in my own small way. IF someone is gonna give me some advice about how they think I could improve... I'd be a fool not to at least ponder their advice. IF I find the advice unsuitable for me after thinking it out thoroughly then I don't think about it anymore and go back to work.

My advice to you since you seem to be open to, seeing as you posted here, is; take the advice, if you are a bit rough, MAYBE you could use a little polish, perhaps... a good ole pair of jeans that are still in good shape are the best jeans imho. Not to new and not too beat up.

Good luck in all you do!!!

As a work around I suppose you could set up an email to have your taxi emails sent and never check the email.

But you did say you joined taxi on a whim. That is, more for emotional reasons than a thought out justification. Perhaps you are doing the same thing regarding the critiques?

Just think if 10 out of 10 reviews said, "This would have been 100% on target if it weren't for the triangle solo in the middle section."

Wouldn't you want to know that?

Also, regarding BAD songs. I like how Robin Fredrick put it. "Any song that moves you the writer is a good song and any song that moves others is a really good song"

Of course someone at the TAXI ROAD RALLY said now a song "has to be better than great, it has to be undeniable" .... go figure.
