How long does it usually take to hear back after forwards
I signed up almost two months ago. I've had maybe 5 or more forwards but havent heard anything after that. Would love to hear from others that have had forwards to find out what the next step is. Thank you.

Re: How long does it usually take to hear back after forwards
There's a great thread about this very topic. The first thread in the Success Stories section. "How Long it Takes Before a Deal -- Tell Your Stories Here!"
As you'll see, everyone's experience is different. Some have not heard anything for as long as a year after a forward, if you hear anything at all. I was lucky in that I heard from a publisher only a few months after one of my first forwards. But you're not guaranteed to hear anything after a forward. A forward means the screener thought your song fit that particular listing. After that it's up to the listing party to determine whether or not your song fits their needs.
This is definitely a business of patience. I'm sure you will see the Forum mantra many times "Write, submit, forget." Keep writing to listings and keep learning from returns and from others success stories. If you're getting forwarded it definitely means you are on the right track
Best of luck.

fyi, I don't know how to paste the thread in the response, so just head over to the SUCCESS STORIES section and check it out. Michael Laskow started the thread to answer this very question.
