Yippii! First forward - Singer/songwriter 1/3

Post by stillthomas » Mon Jun 29, 2009 11:28 am

Sooo I've been away on a vacation for a couple of weeks. When I got back and checked my e-mail I was pleasently surprised (and almost chocked) to find that my song Getting Close to You had been forwarded.I didn't even dream that any of the songs would get a forward, I submitted mostly to get some feedback.Anyway, this made me really happy! Think I'll have to go to the fridge and see if I can find some celbrationfluid If anyone wants to listen, "Getting Close to You" can be found here: www.taxi.com/stillthomasS090511SSMALE AND FEMALE POP/ROCK SINGER-SONGWRITERS in the full range of Gwen Stefani to Ben Harper to Sheryl Crow to Michael Penn, etc. sought by Publisher with many placements on network TV. He is open to hearing acoustic versions but please make sure it sounds good enough for film and TV placement. He is looking for melodic music only. Songs that lyrically tell a story are preferred. He says "no heavy grunge or modern metal". Broadcast quality needed - great sounding home demos are fine. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyric sheets. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Monday, May 11, 2009. TAXI #S090511SSCheers! Thomas

Great Job, man. Huge congratulations! And that was NOT a low-bar listing...not by a LONG shot. Way to go.I can still remember the yelp that came out of me when I got my first "your song was forwarded" postcard in the mail (I was a snail-mail member for the first 18 months...STILL have it stuck to my refrigerator).Celebrate.Ted
