Nice one! Really sleazy, I thought

oh -- THAT explains it! Thanks for clarifying. Maybe Steve writes most of his songs when he's hungry . . ., ??SuzP.S. The books you sent Lyris are PERFECT! She checks out more of them each week from the library and is really enjoying the series. GRAZI!

Thanks Jay, i-man, GB, roc, Keith, Laura, and Suz!Suz, regarding Brindabella's "food" comment, it's true. I had no idea that many of my song titles were food related. Now I'm extremely cautious of how I name my music. I'm sure it's Freudian somehow!Steve

My first year forward success rate was 27% (meaning a 73% return rate!). Things started changing when I...1) set my ego aside and started listening to what the reviewers were saying2) opened up my submissions to critiques and suggestions by forum members (time permitting)3) being more selective with what I submit. I've gone from the "shotgun" approach to the "rifle" approach (who coined that term? I can't remember...)4) interpreting and understanding what the listing is really asking for (very often subject to debate, but still challenging)It's not a perfect system because humans create the listings, humans screen the music, and humans compose the music. But in spite of all that, it seems to be getting better. It's a journey.Steve
