Native Instruments West Africa?

Post by musicalweather » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:49 am

Have any of you used N.I.'s West Africa? Just wondered what you thought of it... Since it's on sale at half off (about $30), I've contemplated buying it.

Then again, if I spent about $200, I could upgrade to Komplete 8, which includes West Africa. But I'm still not enthusiastic about upgrading. Why? Because the upgrade would give me the exact same versions of synths I already have (Absynth, FM8, Massive, Reaktor, and Battery), and give me stuff I already have plenty of (drums, basses, electric keys) and pianos that I find kinda meh.... Two hundred bucks is still fairly reasonable for Kontakt 5 and Guitar Rig 5 Pro, but I'm still not leaning toward a purchase. Think I may wait until Komplete 9 comes out.

Anyway, I'm off-topic here. West Africa -- what do you think?

Thanks!

Someone pointed out to me that the sale price is $60, not $30. Oh well. :|

I'd buy Kontakt for $200.
