Moving contents of Komplete 8?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help with this question? I've just uploaded Komplete 8 (which is great) on my hard-drive, and I was wondering if the contents can be moved to another internal hd simply to free up space. I do have two additional 1 tb hd's within my Macpro which are dedicated to samples.

(Using Logic Pro 9.16 on OS 10.68)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I'm looking for the same thing but for a different reason! I installed in in an external drive and then bought a retina Mac (which only has 2 USB ports). So now I can only hook up my sound card and keyboard but not the external hard drive. It's driving me mad since my external drive still won't work with even a powered USB hub.

How did you do it?

Hey Chillfok, what if you plug the hard drive into the computer directly and then put a USB hub on the other port for the other two peripherals?

@elser, tried that to no avail. I will get one of these as soon as they are out and will try with that.
But I'm finishing a big job pretty soon and after that I will format the heck out of my mac and reinstall everything again. As I do that, Komplete will go to the main drive. It's going to fly on this SSD

Hi Chillfok, I believe what I did was as the cd's were uploading, it asks where you would like the content, and I believe I placed all of it on my main hardrive. Then once inside the Kontact player itself, I was able to re-locate the content to the appropriate or desired hd. This was such a long time ago that my memory is a little foggy as to the rest of it, yet I believe I was able to do it through the 'add library' button. It really was one of those trail and error things until I finally got it right. Sorry I can't help you any further than that!

andygabrys, unfortunately my FastTrack doesn't have a FireWire connector

I figured out how to do this the "manual" way. I tried reinstalling per onelight24's suggestion but the installer wasn't working on Mountain Lion for some reason (I've installed it with the previous OS and did an in-place upgrade which broke a few things). So I went ahead and manually moved the folder to the internal HD and here's what I found:

1) The first time I opened Logic, NOTHING worked. Tried a few things yet Kontakt still couldn't find the samples.
2) Left the computer on and tried again the next day. Apparently spotlight had time to re-index that mammoth of a library and when I opened Logic this time, everything was peachy.

So... after moving Kontakt, you need to let spotlight find the files in the new place for Kontakt to find them.

Maybe this will help somebody else...
