This looks quite interesting.

1 Million String Samples

More than 300,000 violin samples and an estimated one million samples for the full library make Vienna Dimension Strings the most ambitious and intensive production in the history of the Vienna Symphonic Library.

Thanks for calling that to our attention, I personally was not aware of the new VSL library. At least that demo on the first link you provided sounds amazing. I am in the market for a new string library and the recent forum topic recently regarding the debate between LASS and East West Hollywood Strings was very interesting. Mazz, Matt, Adonis and others posted great input about the pros and cons - it's at http://forums.taxi.com/topic30175.html - I would be interested to see how this one fits into that comparison.

It looks like there is a good discount on an "Early Bird" special. The only issue there is, how much has it been user tested? I will look for more info, and possibly hold off on my purchase of LASS until I see what's up with this new VSL.

I've listened to some of the demos, and it sounds really good!
I hope the new engine interface it less CPU demanding as well.

I'm currently buying the 8dio library. It's really expensive, but I hope it's worth it!
(haven't installed it yet, my SSD will arrive today).
