JunesFlow,Welcome! Our main genre is Urban/ Hip Hop. We've learned to not feel neglected when we post something and only get a few responses verses other listings that get a tremendous response. And truthfully there are many times I listen to a post that's getting a big response and I CANNOT HEAR IT!!! Why??? It baffles me as to why everyone is liking that particular song. In that case I chose not to comment at all because I am not in that genre. Well, I'm sure you can understand that many, many people on here are not comfortable giving input on hiphhop. I try to comment when I can and congratulate people when they have success, but I usually don't give detailed comments if I feel that it's not constructive. We have had quite a few forwards. Still waiting on a deal, but we keep plugging away.Good luck!!!

JunesFlow, welcome! I am a classically trained pianist, grown up with Mozart and Beethoven and mostly write instrumentals (when I'm not writing musicals!)I just love hip-hop - I am taking a shot at writing an instrumental hip-hop, but knowing nothing about it but what I hear in day-to-day life, I don't know what it's gonna come out like!!!!!I'm looking forward to hearing your work. Georgie

We do have our own website http://CarriageHouseEntertainment.com We have a main landing page and pages for most of our writers / artists. Don't particularily like the look of our music player right now, but it works and sounds better than many we tried. The music up there is from this summer. We have may more that we haven't listed. Actually seeing as we are not trying to build a fan base really, we only put a sampling of the different sounds and styles we have. If we decide to push one certain song or artist we have it set up to handle that. We can sell merchandise, CD's etc.... We also have MySpace and YouTube pages. We are currently building a backstage page that's specifically used to market ourselves to Music Libraries and Publishers. We have a rather large catalog of music so we are sorting and mixing it down more for film and tv. Had to take a quick break in the action to finish some tracks for the Rally, but plan on having the backstage area user ready so that we can promote that on any literature we pass out.Good luck with the new site.

Here's a link to the thread on here http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... d=10186You don't by chance hustle CD's on the blvd do you? We've been to Cali about 5 times and always hit hollywood and highland. We've met several musicians up there that we see everytime we go. A few of the guys we know make a decent piece of change selling their CD's there.

If you have joined TAXI, then ask them if they have any tickets left.

Joining Soon!

Post by junesflow » Tue Oct 28, 2008 4:50 pm

Not me, Che.I might grab a bite from Mickey D's and run into like 15+ dudes who are trying to hustle their projects to me.What actually urks me though, is odd...As I have multiple mixtapes, not albums, online and in physical form, I NEVER gave product to the people without a decent cover and contact info on it in a professional manor. Most of those dudes scribble scrabble their names and a phone number on a cd, then have the nerve to ask me for $10! Ha!Can't knock the hustle tho'....Hummingbird...Like Hip-Hop?I'm gonna read the thread and see when the rally is, as I plan to join asap!Thanx for the side-note, Hummingbird!!
