HELLO my TAXI friends
Its me, ANJ. I know you guys are probably all in Taxi-craze mode - many are already in L.A and some about to leave. As some of you know, I was not planning on coming out to the rally this year because I was about to go into the studio to record my 3rd album, "The Giant Unquiet". Unfortunately that producer who was a very big name in the industry ( tell you guys about him later) fell through - and then SuperStorm Sandy hit my home town very very badly, and I lost many things, including my steady gigs here for the rest of the winter.So even though I needed more than ever to come to the rally and find the right person for this record, financially I am not about to lose my apartment
Today however, a dear friend/fan and Taxi member reached out to me - offering to pay for my airline ticket and let me come with him to the rally!!! I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY HIS GENEROSITY since from NJ to LA is not CHEAP!!!I plan on coming now to the rally because its too generous an offer to pass up - but I have nowhere to crash from THURSDAY to MONDAY night.
I am wondering if any of you can or know anyone who can let me bum on a floor or couch for those days. I don't have any money at all to really give you but I would put you on my record liner notes as my guardian angel and write you a song to have just for you ( not to be on the album but on future albums who knows?
Since without your help I wouldnt have found the composer I know is going to be at the rally this year for my record.I will gladly sleep on the floor at the rally with some pillows under me if that's what it takes! I can also sleep on the couch IN THE Westin downstairs if need be
