I'll have my laptop. If someone needs to burn a CD in an emergency, I should be able to help... Of course, blank CD and the music source files needed (unless it's just a dup)...

I always bring a few blanks, extra 'generic' stick on labels with my contact info, and marking pens.

Does anyone have a cd burning software they swear by?

I was going to bring my ipod also, but now it seems like not as good of an idea.

Thanks for all the advice and insights!

You can always use iTunes. It's a free download. All you have to do is create a playlist of the songs you want, order them, and burn the playlist to CD. Very easy and cost nothing!

Yes of course, although you might wanna bring real headphones in case there aren't any...cause earbuds are a bit too, uhm, personal... ;)

I used my iPad at another conference recently...the mentors really seemed to like it cause they could skip from song to song, forward thru them etc, as they pleased.

Of course you still need a CD to give to the person to take home in case they like your stuff...

Posting from 30,000 feet... Cool! 8-)

Just to add that if you bring iPod and headphones for mentors to listen, I strongly suggest making a playlist of the songs you want to play (in advance), so it is brain-dead easy for the mentor to quickly go thru them. The 1:1 session is short and you want to make the most efficient use of time as well as be respectful to the mentor's time and energy.

Perfect! Thank you, Matt! No stuff to "pitch" to them this year-- I'm working on all artist pieces for the time being... got some real catching-up to do with my artist releases!! See ya soon!! :)
