Chock full of Opportunities

Post by ericmakesmusic » Sun Dec 02, 2012 2:24 pm

The December Listings came out and I'm both excited and overwhelmed. More opportunities than I can ever hope to submit for. This is just awesome. I'm thinking about skipping Christmas this year. Need someone to volunteer to tell my girlfriend.

Are you sure you trust us with your girlfriend? :o

Just kidding, of course!

I know it's a challenge to juggle everything. Don't be too hard on yourself if you can't do everything you want to do, it doesn't end with Taxi listings, that's for sure!!

Good luck!

Totally feel the same way! It's been like this since Thanksgiving.

I went to the TAXI Road Rally last month and got super motivated to work extra hard at the music thing only to be bombarded with holiday commitments right afterwards. I found that budgeting time is the key to pulling this off: getting up a little bit earlier in the morning and working later in the evening seems to keep family and music in balance.

Start by working on the listing you're most comfortable with a little bit every day and everything will fall into place.

Good luck in all you do.

I'm sure glad I'm not the only one. And good suggestions Rich. I teach music lessons in the afternoon so I get to spend the mornings writing and then again at night if I'm not too wiped.

Like AlainStoll, I usually go through the TAXI listings and then make my own shorter list of opportunities that appeal to me. I usually highlight the listings by color based on priority. (I'm kinda anal about things like that). But even after all this, I know I'll be annoyed at the end of the month when I miss some opportunities that I just couldn't fit in.
