Forward Optimizer

Post by delagarzamusic » Sun Dec 02, 2012 3:58 pm

that sounded like a plug in..

i'm starting my 3rd year as a Taxi member, not to brag about (well maybe a little), but I've had a considerable amount of forwards, im' very pleased with Taxi, more than anything it keeps me making music and learning bunch of stuff in the process.. (if i didn't have a deadline i wouldn't write a thing in years)

do you guy's have any tips of making a forward a "better forward"
for example:
using the picture, or having a better picure, having my dog on the picture?
what do you put on the bio.. etc etc.
do low scores on the critique lower your chances of a deal on a fwd?

thank's :?

I think the music has to speak for itself on the forward. The clients don't really care what composers look like (that's a good thing!! ).

The only times I've seen requests for bios (keeping in mind that I don't submit for artist listings generally) is if they are looking for composers with some credits already. Then I'd include the bio because that will get forwarded along to the client too. I'm not sure if the bios get forwarded on listings where the client doesn't specify it. That would be an interesting question to ask Taxi.

I would be willing to bet that the pop artist listings may want bios depending on what the client is thinking about doing with the music.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

mm no the floors are fine.. the difficult thing is to keep the dog's hair clean and brushed,
he has 2 walk's a day and always brings some extra gifts ( dirt and leaves ) with him
