Collaboration Idea: Getting More Taxi Peeps Together

So, I'm all about community, which is why I find Taxi so awesome.
If something like this has already been done, forgive me, and TELL me where to find it.
If not, I'd like to suggest this: an online, editable document that any/all Taxi members can add their info too.
This way, we can drop in and FIND people and particular skill sets for collaboration.

Just an idea.

I thought it would be cool to get all the info in one place as a resource for Taxi members in need.
I'm also open to ideas for more info to include or EXCLUDE if need be. Let me know what ya thinks.

Hey, this sounds like a VERY cool idea, but I suggest the access be by invitation only, emails given in PM. This forum is wide open to the www and anyone with the link could access the collaborators personal information. JMHO

Ok. Does anyone else know how Google Docs work?
Basically, I could password protect it and then just give out the password in a PM or something like that.
I THINK that's how it works.

Click on Share

choose "Private, only people listed below can access'

enter the email addresses in "add people"

send them an email with the invite, they will get it and be able to link to the document, add their info and see others.

I like this idea. I'm surprised taxi isn't already doing it, actually. Has anyone ever asked about doing that? I guess there would be a lot of names, huh.

So maybe an opt in system would be good.... I for one would like to find more musicians in this town I moved to. It would also be great to have a go-to list for other people using my daw, or find someone to do a cello part etc.

I would contribute (free),to my friends:

electric guitar (gibson and PRS) tracks
acoustic guitar (takamine) tracks
bass guitar tracks
singing (demo only) and harmony
full production on any lyrics given (if I not working on something)
melodyne pitch correction

I record in only 16 bit so far.

I am only of average talent.

I like this idea too.

The majority of Taxi.com forwards & library placements I've had, have been the result of a collaborations with forums members. Left to my own (compositional) devices, I tend to re-create the same kinda thing over and over again. Collaborators bring fresh ideas & perspectives that (from my experience) seem to increase the likelihood of a forward.

Plus, I'm old enough to remember the days when you used to create music...with other musicians.

Steve - I have added Tony's basic details to your list/form (obviously with his OK lol) - I hope you don't mind as I wasn't sure at what point you were going to make it invitation only (probably smart IMO).
