VERY nice! And very convincing orchestra.
It doesn't sound like VSL...what are you using?

Cool! I used to use that (still use the percussion), but somehow I couldn't quite manage to make it sound right. Great sound...

Hey Roc thanks. I'm not gonna tell you that I don't fight them to get them to right and I still don't feel like I've really nailed anything with em yet). They are perfect for lot's of things (BIG) and they seem to just suck at other things. I'm finally starting to learn that you have to write for their strengths. It kind of sucks when the samples you own gets in the way of how you'd orchestrate something (probably still just part of the learning curve with em), but I'm still blown away by the quality of them. I've never had an orchestra living in my computer before. Can't tell you how much fun that's been. What are you using?B

I know exactly what you mean...I used to use the silver edition, then platinum (crazily enough, some stuff sounds BETTER with silver than with platinum) and they absolutely have the huge sound. But that's the thing; you have to write for their strengths - probably very much like a real orchestra with some very strange selective technical weaknesses I use VSL (special edition + appassionata strings) now, with some EWQL percussion. I find the quality of the samples is more consistent and you don't need as many articulations to get what you want, AND you can pretty much implement every technique known to man, if you know what you're doing. Which is also the drawback - it takes a while to figure out how to make it sound right, and I'm not quite there yet. The strings give me regular headaches
