DOWN-to-MIDTEMPO SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with MALE or FEMALE VOCALS are URGENTLY needed by the PRODUCER of a FEATURE FILM. They're looking for stripped-down songs with a BITTERSWEET vibe and a bit of a Southern sound a la:

The song will be played during the END of the film as well as during the END CREDITS. Having been through an ordeal that has ended dramatically, the lead character is staring out the car window as the song plays. The character is reflective and wistful with a tinge of sadness. Songs should have a SOFT, SWEET and SINCERE vocal performance. Instruments must sound ORGANIC and AUTHENTIC. Lyric themes are open but be sure your lyrics are universal and general by avoiding specific names, places, dates/times, brands and detailed storylines that may distract from the film's narrative. Sexually suggestive or songs with profanity will not work for this project.

Please submit full-length songs at least 2 minutes long. All songs must be original -- no covers please. Instrumentals are not needed at this time. You must own or control 100% of the master and the composition to submit for this listing. As always, do not rip off the referenced artist or his music in any way, shape or form. References are provided only a guide for tone, tempo, texture and vibe. They have a typical Indie Film budget and it pays a nominal "festival license fee" upfront with a "step deal" that increases your synch fee as the film becomes more successful.
