Hi

really nice song. Great melody. Effective instrumentation. I am SO not one to criticize voice, but I actually think there's a bit of a disconnect there. (Voice is really the deal breaker isn't it...) She's a great singer, obviously, but to me I'd like to hear innocence with the melody and instrumentation. I hear sweet. This voice is strong, seasoned. Great vibrato, self assuredness, (aka karen Carpenter) but maybe it should be sung with a plain, youthful innocent voice. Maybe even a child? As Juliet said, a family movie - where there's a coming of age or resolved differences, etc. In that case a voice that's more sweet than seasoned. imo

great song, though. really pretty

Thanks

Graham

Thanks Graham! Very interesting angle. Will definitely consider that option. I'm glad you liked the song. Take care.

Geoff,

EXCELLENT!!!! I completely agree with Chip D.! The only thing (and this is so hard for me to say) is it's got an 80's/90's structure/feel to it. I absolutely LOVE it though, and wish it would be brought back more to current music. It's almost like people have a short attention span for pop music these days and don't want to be taken too far away from the comfort zone of a memorable chorus and for too long...

In my opinion, I give it an 11 out of 10!!

BEST of luck with this future hit!!

Thanks Pete. Wow an 11!! That is cool. Yeah most of my stuff has that 80's 90's structure and feel to it. It's probably because I'm in my mid 50's, and that's really the only way I know how to write. Maybe someday everyone will long for the good old days of the 20th century. Thanks again.
