I'm Grouping My Listings Questions Into One Post

Hello--

I have several questions that I believe all fall under listings and I just haven't gotten around to posting them yet, so here are all three.

1) On the listing for a Pop producer TAXI # Y130402PP what is your opinion on the amount to be paid for hire? Is that a competitive amount for what the artist is looking for?

2) Are there ever any Taxi listings where no one submits anything?

3) I'm working with the media department where I work and my company went to an outside ad firm to do our commercials, campaign, etc. and I wondered if I were to suggest to the ad firm that they go to Taxi in the future to get their music, what would need to happen?

It looks like this is a "songwriter" not artist, who is looking for someone to help produce really good and slick sounding demos to pitch to artists. Dunno about price... is it more than you are currently making? How much time will it take? In a class at the Rally a guy talked about producing "by the hour" compared to "by the job." I forget what his recommendations were.

2) Are there ever any Taxi listings where no one submits anything?

Couldn't imagine that ever happening.

I bet TAXI would love to hear from them. Seems to me that I saw something on the taxi.com website for Listing Parties... can't find it now. You could contact TAXI and ask them how the best way for an ad agency is to contact them about listing... but I'm guessing they will say have them call 800-458-2111 (9a-6p Pacific Time) (818-888-2111 outside US/Canada)

There was a listing (a Dispatch I think) a few years ago for some kind of Ukranian(?) electronica... I don't remember exactly. Basically they wanted a combination of traditional Russian type instruments, genre/style combined with modern electronica. I happened to be talking to somebody at Taxi and asked about that once it was screened. If I remember right, there were something like 13 submissions for a bizarre listing like that and I think they said that 7 were forwarded!

So I'd say that there's probably never a situation where there's no submissions.
