your investment in some kind of drum software would change the vibe of your tracks 100% and give you much more current sounds.
actually, for this listing its not current sounds they want anyways LOL.

but maybe swap "current" for "believable in the setting you are trying to replicate"

Thanks Andy, Stuart, and Steve!

Good notes!! I should actually have Komplete 8 soon, with all of its "convincing" samples. Hopefully they'll make a difference. Wonder what the learning curve will be like with it?
Thanks for listening

great. a good package.

yeah learning curve especially if you dig deep into what Kontakt does, but not too bad if you just load stuff up and play. and I think the kit sounds and mix presets are very usuable in the Abbey Road drum series.

I've had Komplete 8 for a year and a 1/2 and I'm still finding new stuff.

I got a return on this one for the same reason. In My case it was the truth. But if another listing comes up I have a base to work with now and don't have to start from scratch. Just tweek what I have.

Rockchild,

You're right. It's much easier than rewriting the entire thing from scratch.

Tweaking and reworks always a good idea. We had one we pitched 3 or 4 times for retro country. We knew the song was right so I kept messing with it till I got the right combos of sounds(reverbs, mix, licks, etc.) to get the "vibe". Finally got a forward on it (no deal on it yet  )
