Submission Suggestion

Post by toddt » Tue Jun 09, 2009 10:56 am

Hi all (and specifically ML/Taxi),I know this may not be the most popular suggestion ever, but here it is anyway: it would be really valuable to me to have the option of bulk-buying Taxi submission credits, whereby $5 = 1 credit, and 1 credit required for listing subs, and 4 credits required for custom critiques (could call them Taxi Fares or something? ).I say this because when we submit to Taxi listings, we need to put through $5 charges on our credit cards each time we submit. This is fine for US residents (or more importantly, people with USD credit cards) however when I'm charging my UK (£) credit card it's a lot easier for me to put through fewer, larger transactions than many small ones (I think that the lower the transaction value, the higher the all-in exchange rate may be too).Anyways, I understand that certain things are changing around here, and hope you don't mind my making this publicly, but just wanted to put this out there to see what people thought about it.Best,Todd

Hmmmm, I thought that was already available; call Taxi and ask about it, cuz it seems to me I've heard this song before.

Yeah I kind of thought so too - and it allows you to create a basket of submissions in one transaction as long as you want to submit at the same time, but can't see that it allows you to bulk buy and store for the future...

I'll hold your money in account for you. Just forward me anywhere from $100 - $10,000 and I'll use it to pay for your submissions as you make them.

Thanks Jonathan that's mighty kind of you. Let's talk exchange rates... I hear the £ is worth 6 of your "dollars" these days

Hi guys,We indeed do have this function available for members. Although we do have a secure server, some members prefer to not use their credit card online every time they make a submission. So in order to get past this, you can pre-pay for submission credits over the phone, by mail, or through e-mail (again, some members don't prefer to display their info through e-mail, but we do have a secure server). You can also add as many submissions as you like to your account.Once you have purchased pre-paid submission credits, we will add these credits onto your TAXI hosting account so that the next time you make a submission all you have to do is confirm your submission before selecting the checkout button.Simple as that!
