A-LIST HOLLYWOOD MUSIC SUPERVISOR working on a brand new TV SERIES needs dark hearted SINGER/SONGWRITER Songs with Male OR Female vocals. All Tempos will be considered. Here's the catch... The lyric themes must be shadowy, strange, seedy, etc. This show is going to be a bit creepy, with plots about death, and murder. Typical psychopathic killer stuff

Some examples of the general stylistic ballpark they're looking for are:
"Love Interruption" by Jack White: http://bit.ly/wfnwAV
"Disarm" by Smashing Pumpkins: http://bit.ly/pokTc7
"Psycho Killer" (Acoustic Version) by Terrorvision: http://bit.ly/1b60JqP
Quoting the Music Supervisor: "I'm not looking for anything too Pop or mainstream. This needs to be Singer/Songwriter, heart on your sleeve type of stuff. It's okay for the lyrics to be right on target for this one. They can hit you square in the face, and right on the nose... but they have to be POETIC. There should be some sense of beauty lurking in the shadows and the darkness."
Your tracks need to sound moody and grim with a bit of an edge. It's okay to submit a simple, bare bones, stripped-down acoustic version of your song. You can also submit songs with some light accompaniment (fuller production). He's NOT looking for anything that sounds obviously dated. Keep your submissions raw and organic. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).
The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000-$3000 (depending on the ultimate use). This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you'll keep 100% of the sync fee, and your Master and Composition rights. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition to be eligible for this pitch. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them ONLY as a general stylistic guide for tone, tempo, texture, and overall vibe. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Your submissions will be screened by a person hand-picked by the Music Supervisor himself. Please submit 1-3 songs online or per CD no later than Monday, September 16th. At 2pm (PDT). TAXI #U130916SS
