Decided at the last second to submit this piece called "Secret Passage". It's dark and big but not sure if it's driving enough. We'll see!

MODERN and DRAMATIC, ORCHESTRAL UNDERSCORE INSTRUMENTALS with a similar vibe (not a rip off!) of the movie soundtrack of "The Immortals" by Trevor Morris, "300" by Tyler Bates, "Beowulf" by Alan Silvestri, etc., are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company that needs to add some fresh, new Orchestral Tracks to their already impressive catalog for a number of high-end Film and TV placements. They're looking for action packed Orchestral Instrumentals that have a modern approach, with driving rhythms that are energetic, dark, and have a serious tone. Some vocal embellishments like chanting could work, but shouldn't be the primary focus of your piece. Absolutely NO lyrics of any kind for this one! Please review the referenced soundtracks for the overall feel and vibe. They're not looking for anything comes across too MIDI or stale sounding. Please do NOT submit tracks with solo instrumentation. Instrumental performances must be top notch! Broadcast quality is needed (excellent home recordings are fine). This company offers an Exclusive, 3-year deal, so please be sure that your tracks are not already signed with any other catalogs or publishers. You will split all sync fees 50/50 with the Publisher. Howdy. You shared this, but didn't specifically ask for comments.
However...when I read the listing, and saw Alan Silvestri's name among the comparison list, my interest was piqued.
Everything I've heard of his has been awesome, stellar...all those kinds of kudos. ("Predator" was a favorite).
So: I went to take a listen to "Beowolf" on a You Tube post; and noted to self:
"world-beat percussion; deep horns; timpani; strings(?);choral chants (oohs & aahs)...good sustain of tension..."

Then I took a listen to your piece, asking self, "does it sound like something I'd think might have come from Mr. Silvestri?"
Bottom line: great piece; for what it's worth - to my ears, sounds like you fulfilled the requests and requirements of the listing.
Well done; it would be a huge surprise if it does NOT get picked it up.

Dark Orchestration, seriousness, a feel of extraordinareness. (if such a word exists, smile)

You excelled at the Progression from the Intro to the middle. Excellent use of Chorus. You chose Male Chorus : clever ! Goose Bumps, yes, I had them, it worked

If anything has to be said, I am not sure about the use of the speedy Tremolo Mandolin.

But, you are right on with the Listing demands. Well done indeed !

I really like this one. I can't speak to the suggested alas, but if others are saying it fits the ball park, I would submit based on that and the fact that this would fall under the umblrella of "qualty track". Really good, really enjoyed it and this sort of thing seems to be your strongest suit I think. I predict another forward.
