Matt
Cool track... Not my genre but I liked it. 8-)

I would definitely lose the intro. It's long and doesn't match the vibe of the rest of the track.

I didn't hear (especially after the intro) any "familiar" lick that would be a problem (*MY* POV).

One important thing. For film/TV, you always need a "clean" version with no explicit language. Not sure how to work that with a Taxi listing, it's something you can ask Taxi about. Maybe it's a matter of just indicating at top of the lyrics "Clean Version Available". Or submitting both the original and the clean, but of course that would cost 2x as much.

Best,
:D Casey

@Vanderboegh - Yeah, that's the pitfall, I guess - I really wanted to do something that was cliche, blues-wise, and make the fusion the real centrepiece of the thing. Glad you like it, though! And I'll pass on your compliments re the rap. Timing-wise: I think there's a problem in the bass riff - there's a gap between two notes that's just sliiiiightly too long. I'm planning on re-recording that part fortunately (there's some electrical buzz in there that I didn't notice until it was mastered).

@Casey H - Thanks for the pointer on the explicit version - I've been careful to check the listings I've sent it to, but I see that a clean version immediately opens up more avenues. I like the idea of losing the intro, although I'll have to run that past the guy I co-wrote it with!
