How Do You Get People to Buy Your Music?

Post by coachdebra » Mon Jan 13, 2014 2:00 pm

I was honored to be asked to be one of the Guest Authors for this 12 Days of Monetization series on Ariel Hyatt's CyberPRMusic Blog. It looks like we're going to be featured on hypebot this week as well. Check out my post http://cyberprmusic.com/2013/12/28/12-d ... ell-day-4/

And then read them all - they're all great!

Please leave me a comment - let me know what you think - and feel free to share!

1. Release it to the market.

2. Promote the heck out if it.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until money flows in.

Thanks Debra,

Your article was great. I'm reading the rest of the 12 ways as well, so thanks for that too.

This series has something to offer everyone, whether performing or not.

But who is your market? And how do you let them know you exist? Just shouting it from the rooftops (or your twitter feed) will be more likely to get you arrested or blocked (respectively). I know you were likely being at least slightly facetious, but I think this leaves out so MANY steps and represents what so MANY artists actually think works (and doesn't)....
