World instrumental forwards x 3

Post by daveydad » Tue Feb 04, 2014 8:16 pm

I confess, I submitted these with a bit of doubt but was pleasantly surprised they all were forwarded! Did have one return (an Irish whistle piece) that sounded just a little too MIDIish... I knew it!!

SOLO WORLD INSTRUMENTALS (from any region) are needed by the Vice President of A&R at an incredibly successful Production Music Library. He's pitching tracks for a number of travel related TV shows that will take the viewer on a journey around the world. There'll be stops in many different villages, cities, and countries, and he wants to absorb as much of the local sights, sounds, flavors, and culture as possible. Authentic sounding indigenous solo Instrumentals with TRADITIONAL MELODIES are needed to play back with picture. The music will help to tell the story by adding the right cultural mood, feel, and vibe to specific scenes. Whether it's a solo Peruvian pan flute, a Japanese Koto, or any culturally identifiable solo Instrumental, he wants to hear it! Think of a solo accordion playing at a French Cafe, or a solo sitar performance as the sun sets in India over the river Ganges. This request is for original SOLO Instrumentals only. He's not looking for ensemble pieces for this pitch.

WORLD INSTRUMENTALS (in all regional styles) are needed by the VP of A&R at a highly successful Music Library with countless Film and TV placements. He needs Mid-to-Up Tempo exotic Instrumentals that capture the culture and sound of a particular region. For example: Chinese Music is typically performed in the pentatonic scale with small ensembles of plucked and bowed stringed instruments, flutes, various cymbals, gongs, and drums. The music of India can feature instruments such as the sitar, harmonium, and tabla, etc. He's NOT looking for solo Instrumental performances or tracks with sound effects added to them. The Library stresses that your instrumentation must sound authentic!

Congratulation, daveydad! Yes, I remember hearing these in Peer to Peer. They are quite good.
