For years I've been complimented on my poetry often by poets, family, friends, peers, strangers who listened at the readings. Song lyrics are essentially poetry taken to another organizational level, with adaptation to the music. My poetry is mostly freestyle, with emotional imagery/metaphors. My poetry friends are my social life, but I wanted to transition with more genres and it seemed at first novel writing would be one of them, but another is music lyrics where I initially became interested in words in the first place. I've not much experience with the melody end of it, but I've a feel for rhythm.
Give me a subject matter and I'll send you a sample. Not sure what genre it would best suit, willing to experiment until I get it right. Really anything that has either energy or emotion without being turn-it-down harsh. For those without a deadline, as this is a hobby for me, though the love of words is lifelong.
My best friend, a poet, passed away this week and would make a good subject if you'd like, though that's certainly not the only suggestion.
Up front I'm not investing money into this, and likewise not after monetary compensation, merely a mention of my name should the song be published is sufficient.

"Why fly?" Some ask this question, but Aertherials are those that ask "Why not fly?" Check out The Aertherials messageboard linked in my profile.
