Doubtful Andy.
And here's the reason (please excuse my rant):
I write damn good music and damn good lyrics and the industry, in my view, has no real use for that, despite what they may say. It isn't about being good or talented, it's about fitting in and being superficially flawless (or being superficially flawed in the approved ways).
This is true despite the media's cynical, pandering messages about "being yourself!" or "doing your own thing!" The media doesn't REALLY want people to think that way. They want people who THINK they're special so they'll just keep buying stuff for their "special" selves. They want people who dye their hair pink to be "edgy" and never ask any REAL questions. They want people who are "rebellious", "hip" and "cool", not people who are rebellious, hip and cool.
Yes, I'm aware this song - "Strongest Man" - is particularly old-fashioned, but it was written to be that way. I know exactly what it is and what it's about; it's not meant to be re-inventing the musical or lyrical wheel. However, it's a damn good song and a savvy artist who knows who he is and what he's about could still make it work. But the industry, in my view, would never recognize something like that until someone has the BALLS to do it and then it's all SO obvious in hindsight.
So, in answer to your question, no, I probably won't be submitting it to any listings. However, if something really on-the-nose comes along listing-wise, I would consider it.
But doubtful.
Thanks for your kind comments!
