Rhythm Mix

What do you guys usually include in a rhythm mix? For instance I've been asked for a 30 or 60 second rhythm mix of this song.

What elements should I include?

Tanks!

I would think just pulling the melodic elements out would do the trick but to be safe you could give the a mix with bass, drums/perc, pads and another with just the drums/perc. In my experience it's been somewhat left up to me to include what i think might be useful to a music editor.

Thanks, I hate to pull out that opening pizzicato line, feels like circumcising your own baby. :)

if you just can't let your strings go, what about replacing their 8th note feel with a simpler quarter note melody?
