TRADITIONAL FOLK SONGS with Male or Female vocals are needed by a successful Independent Record Label. They're hunting for acoustic-based Songs that capture the timeless Folk sound of venerable artists like Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, etc. All tempos are okay for this. Your Songs should have a roots-based Folk sound with authentic instrumentation, song structure, and vocal texture. Please avoid overly political lyrics (like the aforementioned references were famous for) that could distract the listener from the overall feel and vibe of the song. The most important aspect of this opportunity is sounding authentic, and giving them songs that sound like the classic Folk era. The deal points for this will be negotiated directly with the Label on a song-by-song, artist-by-artist basis. Great sounding home recordings are fine for this pitch!
