Nothin' personal and no need of apologies, Ern, it's become a pet peeve over the years, as I've heard it over and over from people who maybe haven't heard thousands of blues songs from every period in history-I really shouldn't let it bother me, but every now and then I get the urge to do a little educatin'.

Speaking of brilliant covers, this:would be even more hilarious if it were actually Alanis.

If you say so, Steve, I'll believe it. (takes a Canadian to know one) A little hard to tell, without the customary yelping. Actually a pretty smart move, on her part, unsurprisingly. Does she still have a record deal?

That's definitely Alanis herself. Lots of articles about it. Some say she did it as an April Fools joke, but she won't say. I thought it was funny as hell, and her stock went up for me when I saw that.
