My all time favorite cover is Duane Allman's "Dreams" as recorded by Molly Hatchet. Now that's one my southern rock band does and always goes over well.One day the rest of you will wake up and realize southern rock is the best music EVER!

I LOVE the Alanis Morrissette satire of "My Humps". One of my (12 year old !!) students was working on learning that song a couple years back, and I remember thinking how strange the lyrics would be if sung in a different style. VOILA -- there was Alanis' spin on it -- 'twas perfectly wacky! (And my student ended up deciding NOT to sing the song after all) . . .
