Re: Guitar Rig 5 noise problems
Ok,
The user manual tells me how to copy and paste the preset...is it really that easy? Just copy and paste? How does someone "download" the pasted preset? Does it come directly from my GR5 program?
Sorry for the dumb questions!
Mike

Mike, I'm just curious. How many of your patches are giving you trouble? Are they presets? Custom? If you have some that are not experiencing the noise issue maybe you can find ways to make patches from scratch and elimate the problem. Trouble shoot a noisy patch by disabling components in the patch one at a time to see which is creating the problem. Just some extra thoughts if you are still having problems.
I don't know about the copy and paste. Are you trying to attach a file to share in this thread?

Hey Marty,
It's just a handful. They are always the patches with heavy distortion. But not all of the patches with heavy distortion cause issues. I have done the "breakdown"; ie remove components one at a time to see where the trouble lies...I can't really discern a source. There is NO FX on the patch I'm thinking of...and yet, that's what the digital noise sounds like; ie a bad spring reverb.
Some people who responded requested that I post the patch. So yes, that's what I was trying to do.

I would have to look in to this to be sure, but if you want to attach the patch you would simply locate where the patch is stored on your computer and attach it in your post. If your not sure where to find it go to the file menu and do "save as". That way you can choose where to save the file for easy retrieval.

Hey Mike,
Have you ever had this problem solved.... I had the same thing and my suggestion would be to alter the gain as needed for each patch. It definitely worked for me. Hope that helps mate.
Cheers,
