1st Forward for Gospel

Hey Taxi members,

I write all types of music and received my first forward for Gospel and I have a couple of questions. I wanted to know about writer's successes with forwards. Also, I was wondering about Dispatch, who has tried this for submission and what has been your success. Is it really worth the upgrade?

CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL SONGS are needed by the President of a Major Publishing Company, who's always pitching to the incredible roster of artists on their sister label. They're searching for Songs in the stylistic wheelhouse of artists like Tye Tribbett, Tasha Cobbs, VaShawn Mitchell, etc. Male, Female, and group vocals are ALL welcome for this pitch. All tempos will be considered. Give them passionate, emotionally moving songs with melodies that show off the vocal range and talents of the artists they pitch to. Your lyrics need to be inspirational, motivating, and uplifting. Great song craft, inspirational lyrics, and a huge, killer chorus should get you noticed by this company.

Concerning Dispatch, it would be very advantageous if you write lots of instrumentals. There's more of those kind of listings concentrated there. Songs, maybe not so necessary. Here's the cool thing though. You can have Dispatch emailed to you without signing up for it. That would be a good way to research the listings & see if it's a good fit.
