As a frequent contributor and reader of this forum, I know how useful it is to get outside opinions on your music. My skills and my music have improved immeasurably with the help of so many here.
I have decided to start offering some free thoughts, videos, and work flow ideas in my monthly ASK ANDY email newsletter. You can sign up here for my ASK ANDY Mailchimp list: http://eepurl.com/WRML5
To start with, I am going to cover some of the most common things that you need to know if you are collaborating with others at distance via the internet, and specifically using DAWs like Logic and Pro Tools on the MAC. Many of the ideas are going to be applicable to any DAW and on PC or MAC.
Here are the first couple topics:
1) How to import and export audio from your DAW in the correct Sample Rate and Bit Depth (don't forget Mono / Stereo) to save your time and get more music finished with your collaborators

2) How to do basic single track "Mastering" to get your music sounding competitive with other tracks of similar genre. This will cover stock plugins and a couple of common third-party ones.
I am also going to cover any questions that are sent to me at andy (at) andygabrys (dot) com
Thanks for reading and for your interest!
