And, now, forgive my pickyness... I aint the Grammar Police... but to a guy who's into the details:
the cliche' is actually "toe the line".

Maybe you already know that.
Now you can hammer on me about somethin'... 8-)

Cheers.

In case anyone else is following this thread, Peter said in a PM

"A quick Google Search, per your suggestion, reveals that there's already a deep well in this 'genre'.
http://www.hickhopnation.com/"
(Hope I didn't piss you off by clipping that, Peter)

I would just like to point out that I've noticed that the TV/Film music tends to lag a little behind the "cutting edge" of music genres... which should indicate to us "professionals" that we should really pay attention to what's coming from outside the box so we are ready BEFORE the supes ask for it.

No worries;
you make an important point to those who might go after trying to pitch something to a listing without doing their homework.
I was drawn to this one, simply cause I liked the twist in their name "Redneck Souljers".

Nice track! I think Andy made a great point of having some edit points/break downs to get some movement throughout the track.

That hickhopnation site is amazing!! Didn't know Bubba Sparxxx is still doing it!

Russell,

I'd never heard of hick hop either so I just had to listen. FWIW it got my 11 year old son dancing along playing air banjo and asking me what I was listening to. Production wise I think it works. To me though, i started listening and expected a vocal. I was about to write that the intro was too long when I realized it was an instrumental. I think you could do something really cool with it if there were vocals. That's my two cents.

John

Andy's advice is spot-on. But if this cue is any indication, you guys are gonna kill it with this collection. Just build in some edit points and you'll up your chances of making money.
