TAXI, you can do better than this!

Post by bardur » Mon Sep 29, 2014 6:24 am

Are you kidding??

A TAXI Dispatch listing (I won't call it "opportunity") just came in, where the ultimate payoff for the lucky winner would be a whopping 100-200$ !!

Come on, TAXI .. please do not insult us with this. It's not an opportunity for an already starving musician (we ALL are - not least in the current business climate).

I haven't seen the listing, but I'm assuming this is the upfront fee for your track. If so, it's not bad considering most libraries aren't paying anything upfront. You only get paid from back-end royalties.

I'd be interested to see what the rest of this deal looks like?

Hey Bardur, remember that Taxi does not control the payouts offered by the listing companies. That's waaaay beyond the scope of their service. If $100-200 isn't worth your time, then don't bother with it.

Strange, I'm a very active Dispatch pitcher, and I don't recall seeing this email. Just looked thru my deleted messages and couldn't find it, and didn't see it in the Dispatch opportunities on the Taxi website. Could you paste the text of the listing here so we can see?
