Not sure why it took me so long to join TAXI. I love writing and producing to order!

Newbie question: After being forwarded, is there any followup? Or do you only hear if the music sup wants the track, otherwise nothing? And what's the usual timeframe?

Congrats on the forwards, Adam! You've got some great songs.

Unfortunately, there's no follow up. It's simply a matter of waiting till someone contacts you. There doesn't seem to be any "usual" timeframe. Sometimes it can take weeks, months or even years before there's any contact. On the other hand, I've heard about some people who have been contacted directly before they've even been told by Taxi about the forward!

There's a lot of wisdom in the Taxi mantra: write, submit, forget, repeat!

That's great! Especially since you only joined last month. You're off to a great start!

And as FMstereo said, there isn't a usual timeframe. I joined TAXI at the end of September 2014, have had about ten forwards since then, and have never been contacted.

I have had two songs signed to a library recently but that wasn't because of a forward. The mantra "Write, submit, forget, repeat!" is great because you could be contacted from a forward even a year or more afterwards and could end up signing even more songs than what you had forwarded because your catalog has been growing and getting stronger with better quality material.

Everyone here at Taxi has been great, very motivational. I too hemmed and hawed about joining, but I'm probably in the exact opposite situation you were in: you've got a catalog and I've got zero. But that will change soon, just need to work out the work/family/music life balance.
