Congratulations, Warren! I really enjoyed the song-- love the "she said" "he said" parts too-- nice little twist in the story-telling. I hope you get a call! Keep pitching this one-- someone will find it worth the price to use (or record). Congrats! Raags

The critique was just what I would critique it as (basically a damn good song...) but this song has been forwarded once, and rejected at least 30 times. BUT I AM HAPPY!!! only problem is it went to a library, and since this was demo'd WAY back by a company with all union studio musicians and singers, when i checked with them a year ago, if the song is used AS IS (which libraries tend to do...) it will cost the buyer about 2500 bucks to use it--THIS IS THE LEARNING CURVE STUFF that i've been working on....but for this one a bit behind--however if it's re-recorded (as i intended orig) for a "star", i'm fine...we live and learn. now i've known this for awhile, which is why though this company (NOT jimi's) does a great job, i have not posted them to any of the libraries i'm in now. i am gunna email them again (it's a family organization in Nashville) and ask if they will work with me, but doubt it. soooo-for any of you that a bit naive on the business end, that's the real reason i'm posting this.make sure if you have work demo'd or contracted for, you know what you can and cannot do with it! most of you know this i'm sure, but we all learn at difference speeds! LOL.I'm still happy BTW...and i STILL believe this is a killer tune.it's on my website below first one you'll see...good luck to all.warrenWarrenI hope you'll be able to approach the studio and work out a compromise a lot cheaper than $2500! You could have the whole thing re-done with master rights probably 3 times for that amount. Sometimes if you offer a one time payment and a percent of future master/sync fees, you can strike a deal. If you want to discuss some approaches, get in touch. Before you make a phone call have a good plan as to what you would say (notes in front of you) so you are not "winging it". Let me know if I can be of help.BestCasey

Re: Last hoorah for awhile--A/C Forward
thanks vicky and raags, yeah, my pitching arm is all warmed up!and casey, thank you much for that--i did send an email off to two of the 4 head folks there, and that's EXACTLY what i wish to do, buy back the rights, since heck, i've had 5 demos cut by them, so it's not like they haven't made any $$ off me already...LOL... thinking just the same thing you're suggesting, the payment and a percentage--and i WILL take you up on that offer if i get to that point. need an answer back first, will wait a week, and call them--with cheat sheets ready....thanks all, very kind words by all.warrenand PS casey--damn right, i can have the entire thing recut with the whole enchilada, and at the same time fix a couple things that would imrove the tune. damn, us "business men" are thinking alike here--wish is did when i was a younger puppy...

ditto on EVERYTHING you said Paul!and no, YOU are the nicest guy here. . .hein throws a hard right, misses, and feaker, with vipor like spead shoots a quick left jab to the chin--hein's legs are wobbling, feaker ordered to the neutral corner. . .hein down on one knee. . .6. . .7. . .and they said these guys liked each other Jimmy. . .yes Al, i believe they truly do. . . .and it's over, the bell has rung, and Paul Feaker retains the championship belt. . .what's this?. . .hein is up and complaining it not over. . .he's pointing to the stands. . .he's pointing to a fat lady. . .what's he saying Jimmy?. . . Al-- hein's yelling as he staggers, trying to keep his feet. . . he's yelling "she's not singing, she's not singing! it's not over, she's not singing!". . .he's dancing around, but it's over. . .Feaker by a TKO at 1:11 of round 6. . . all the best, (always wanted to do that...LOL)wh
