Acoustic Guitar due Tomorrow
I'm thinking of submitting this tomorrow:
https://soundcloud.com/premium-joe/skipping-stones-1
For this listing:
ACOUSTIC GUITAR-BASED INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a Production Music Library based outside of the U.S. and distributed Internationally, for Film, TV and Commercial placements. Give them easy-going, laid-back Mid-Tempo Cues that you might hear in the films like Catch and Release, Into The Wild, The Holiday etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the following references from these films to get an idea of the general style and vibe they’re looking for:
“Fritz and Gray Walk the Creek” by BT & Tommy Stinson from Catch and Release:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44vL8tmXfZA
“Swimming and Horses” by Michael Brook from Into the Wild:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYGEpQTq_MI
“How Much I Like You” by Hans Zimmer from The Holiday:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-ad-qbdmQY
Quoting the Library, “We need Acoustic Guitar Cues that range from solo acoustic guitar to small ensembles that would be great for a scene featuring a trip down a country road or a bucolic summer day at the lake.”
Please avoid material that’s frenetic or overly busy, so it works well under dialogue. Easy edit points and buttoned endings are recommended. Submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Do not copy or rip off the referenced composers in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, vibe, texture, and tone.
This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll get 50% of any sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. They’ll get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control the Master and Composition to submit to this pitch. Please submit one to three Instrumental Cues online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59pm (PDT), on Friday, April 21st, 2015. TAXI #U150421AI
Please, Let me know what you think.
Thank you,
-Joseph

sounds solidly within a playlist of the ref tracks; nicely done, imho.
If I were a bettin' man I'd wager that you've got a winner here.
Best of luck with it.

Re: Acoustic Guitar due Tomorrow
That is a very-well constructed arrangement, Joseph.
It's also a beautiful piece, as well as beautifully played.
I think it's perfect for the listing.

To compliment you from another angle - I was thinking of making my first submission to this call and having listened to your piece, I feel much better about my pending rejection slip.
A very nicely constructed piece.

Guys,
I really appreciate all of the compliments and time spent listening. Now, I just hope the screener feels the same.
