Hi all - it's official I'm part of the TAXI family.

Due in large part to the encouragement and input of some fantastic musicians including: Matt Vander Boegh, Andy Gabrys, Patty Boss, Briand Melanson, Pedro Costa, Graham Mcrae, Steven Guiles, Peter Rahill and the GYAWS gang! I hope to continue to provide value to the forums as well as get some forwards

- the Facebook GYAWS group was created and run by Steven Guiles and myself in December 2013. Since then we have added a few admins to help run things. We have written a mission statement. Part of the philosophy of the group now includes a concept of being run for the people, by the people, so that no matter who is in charge, the group can keep going. Paul Shamell is one of the trusted admins currently.

Before GYAWS started, there were a few characters who were commenting on a post made by Ethan Okamura, on Facebook, talking about another type of cutthroat songwriting contest, and after some clever banter on that thread, a spawn offshoot was born of GYAWS. The FAQs http://bit.ly/1iCXryH are attached to the Facebook signup page. In the FAQs sheet are more details about how that came about.
