Trip Hop/ Chillout - how important are the buttoned endings

Post by becw75 » Sun May 24, 2015 6:05 am

Hi

I have 2 tracks I'd like to submit.

Is it a must the have buttoned endings?
Would the music sup be able to find a point where they could just cut to fit what they want?

Both my tracks are 4:30-5 minutes long, and could be trimmed as required.

why not make the job easier for the supes and editors by providing a buttoned ending?

do your songs fade out?

Let's hear 'em.

You know, I'm noticing that there are less and less fade endings in all genres of music. (on the radio) It warms my heart.

Owen!

You know the answer... Because my music is the best in the world etc etc.

I'll probably send as is - with fades. I'd rather submit a whole piece and let the supe decide what then fits. It's just a worry that I haven't followed the directions as asked.

It's appropriate to both the pieces that they fade.

For a listen, try my Taxi homepage....
1. Evening desserts
2. The Novocastrian Tango - sounds stylistically like The Gotan Project.

I have chopped a piece and submitted in a chopped form to suit length wise, but it also had a buttoned ending. :)

Thanks everyone,
Rebecca

I could chop The Novocastrian Tango after one of the snare rolls at the end to make it buttoned.
