Which genre?
Hi,
my song "I need you" has some Piano, but also guitar solo and I'm not sure if it sounds old or contemporary or whatever.
What do you think? Feel free to critique everything else as well (Recording, Vocals, ...)
Is this song pop or rock or something totally different?
Thank you for your replies!

Hi Andy, You will need to provide a link to your TAXI homepage.
Enter your name on the artist info page where it says taxi link.
Then on the forum > profile > edit signature put it there as it is spelt.

Re: Which genre?
I've noticed some folk just have TAXI as a link without address and name so its probably been made easier.

Love the chord progressions. Definately says Beatles to me. How about some brass lines?

The track is unmistakeably John Lennon/Beatles/"Imagine" influenced.
That stated, the genre would be something along the lines of British Pop/Retro 60/70s.
I hope that strong sonic tie does not harm its chances; I guess there could be much worse
fates than being compared with The Fab Four!!

hth;Cheers.

Re: Which genre?
Good song and vocals. Definitely Beatles. Either John or Ringo in my opinion.
What listing is it for?

Re: Which genre?
I don't get The Beatles out of this.
Maybe Alan Parsons or Jethro Tull's "Wind Up".
Good Luck Man,

Thank you for your comments. The Beatles are definetely my biggest influence. Shouldn't be that obvious though. But I can live with that for sure

Re: Which genre?
I'd say singer-songwriter, with a definite retro touch. I did find the ambient sounds in the background puzzling at times, thought they should be up further in the mix. Liked your vocal. Ott
