Not to me but some people claim to be differences.

Read up on PCM audio and the Wav and Aif formats.

Thanks! 8-) yeah got some wavs I need to convert to aif. used Landr to master the wavs (old tracks). dont want to remaster each track but might have to. would rather just convert what I have already.

I've always used iTunes to convert my music, never had any issues.

The PCM data remains the same; the difference is in the header, whether it's big-endian or little-endian, in other words whether the most significant bit or the least significant bit is read first by the receiving device/processor. An unhelpful way of saying that conversion amounts to re-arranging some metadata.

WAAAAAY too much is discussed about quality when converting file formats. If you use any reputable DAW or converter software or iTunes, as far as I know there will be no perceptible difference to the human ear.

I've been using "Switch" from NCH Audio or iTunes for years and it's never had ANY impact on how the music has been perceived by libraries, end users, screeners, etc. Others use Sound Forge.

Stop worrying so much about this. ;)

Best

To clarify my prior post, no, there is nothing lost in converting between WAV or BWAV and AIFF nor vice versa. You can also convert between/among FLAC and ALAC and any of the above without losing any data/sound quality, if your software so allows.
