Congrats! I'm in receipt of a 12-core refurb Mac Pro, as of today. Having some growing pains, cuz my last Mac was a G4; going online to learn how to open the drive without a Mac keyboard had me feeling like a total n00b. I'm sure your iMac transition will be smoother.

Safari's performance is not encouraging; had to install Chrome, but I was gonna do that anyways. We'll see what's what, after I load up a DAW and some VIs.

Computers kinda seem jeans or boots to me. You have to wear 'em for awhile before they really fit.

Jeans will take care of themselves. With a new pair of boots, I like to pour half an 8 oz. glass of water down each boot, (socks and all) and then wear 'em for at least 12 hours, if not overnight. The leather stretches, then shrinks to fit you, and from then on, nobody else.
