Re: I need a keyboard
You probably know this but you're really limiting yourself by "not doing midi". You probably have plenty of sounds baked into your DAW that a $150 keyboard controller could access by simply plugging in a usb cable and selecting an instrument from a drop down menu. Just sayin'...

Yes, the old midi mental barrier trick... (lol). i spent 3 years just recording real instruments, feeling the midi world was not for me. i just recently took the plunge, after seeing Matt Hirt and a number of other presentations on how pervasive (and relatively easy) virtual instruments are. I am really glad i took the plunge and wish I had done so when i started. so, paul, as one old dog to another, consider midi. its not that hard, the possibilities are endless, and its actually fun. just my 1/2 cent

The P95 works pretty well, but it likely won't pass for a piano, in some circumstances. Technology has passed it by, cuz it doesn't include soundboard resonance. A smidge of stereo reverb could put it in the game for a larger mix, but for commercial purposes, there may be better options. HTH
