"we need a song à la Elvis"
"In the style of" as usual but at TAXI destilled to a word of it's own.
Just figured it out myself so ...

Exactly! The a la is the song reference(s) they give you to listen to so you know what sound and feel they're after. Virtually every listing has them, plus the stern admonition, "Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced music in any way, shape, or form."HowlingUlf wrote:pardon the french ...oshro wrote:Pardon my inexperience. what does "a la" mean?![]()

Yeah, honestly I wasn't sold on it myself. Or the other one I worked right up to the deadline on. In the end, I wasn't happy with either one and didn't submit them. So I have something to remix and keep working on for the next creepy ambient listing.hummingbird wrote:Hi - this feedback is a bit late, but I wanted to say, I like the track but I think it's possibly off target. The thip makes it sound rather.. more comedic than creepy.
these words are in the listing: spine-tingling, ambient and creepy, disturbing
However, I could be totally wrong because.. I often get R's for being off target, so what do I know, lol
Enjoyed the listen!!
