Choral acapella cues
Hi everyone,
I noticed a listing for choral unaccompanied cues, and wondered if anyone here has written them.
I had a client who I wrote 2 SATB unaccompanied pieces for. I don't know how it would work for instrumental cues, though.
I don't have the best samples library (I heard there's one called Venus/Mars choirs that's great) but might purchase it, because I like this genre.
I could guess you might write: barbershop quartet cues, or religious choir music, or angelic choruses with no words, but what else?
Also, I heard there are programs where you can actually create words as the choir sings.
Do any of you have any experience with these types of cues? Thanks so much!
Henrietta

East west Symphonic Choirs has a word builder, I just got it but have been looking at youtube vids to try to figure out how it works lol
Before we get too excited about the recent choral/gospel listings, I just wanted to say that in my years of reading TAXI listings they have not come up often, if at all. However, choral motifs are often used in symphonic music and trailers. And like any VSTs have to be used effectively to sound 'human'..
I am interested in exploring what I can do, as I used to arrange a capella gospel music for the choirs I led, and have sung in many choirs and choruses
This here fun track is something I just created, some of the sounds come from the EWQL symphonic choirs

I just recently got the Olympus bundle (Venus and Mars together). I haven't used it too much but I was impressed with the little bit that I've experienced.

Hummingbird,
I think you may have invented a new genre! I like the African flavor I'm hearing in the track, as well as the real modern-sounding vocal runs. I hope you continue in this vein. It sounds very original and exciting.
I figured there aren't that many listings for purely vocal only. Still want to purchase the vocal samples, though
Perhaps it's the emotion that comes from the human voice.
Joseph, I've heard a lot about the Mars/Venus libraries. Thanks for the feedback. I'm heading over to Youtube to hear more.

Strezov Sampling also has some choirs that are worth a look, including some unique Bulgarian choruses. http://www.strezov-sampling.com/product ... R%201.html

Re: Choral acapella cues
I just watched a couple minutes of a tutorial. I think the key is learning the sounds of the letters. I noticed for example the si in silence is SaE. saw-ee. The long "I" has an "ee" sound at the end. I'm working on voice into a sampler. The approach I use is a Long "I" sample cutoff before the "ee", and use the "ee" for the note-off sample. So pressing the "I" key says "I" until you release the key, then it says "ee". *East west Symphonic Choirs has a word builder, I just got it but have been looking at youtube vids to try to figure out how it works lol
Long "A" ends in "y"
Long "O" ends on "w"
* If you say a long "I" without the "ee" at the end, it sounds like the short "o" or "a" as in father, after the start. Similar thing with long "A", after the very start sounds like a short "e" or eh.
The phonics might help understanding the methods in word builder, especially the vowels. The plural of some consonants are "s" and some are "z" and some are "ez". jumps, fanz, lunchez.

Len 911,
Thanks for that heads-up. I'll check into some tutorials, too.

Re: Choral acapella cues
There is another product, Realivox, a lady solo, called Blue. Also there is one the Ladies.
I think there is some vowels missing.
This closer to what I am trying to do with a sampler and my own voice.
