Exporting Files
I was watching Michael's interview with Steve Barden.
Steve says he mixes 2 versions one at 320Khz and the other at 192Khz.
Can someone explain that to me?

Re: Exporting Files
I am not sure what Steve would say, but this is my take:
for library and TAXI pitches where they spec'd 192 kHz - there you are.
For other pitches where they accept higher bit rate mp3's - 320 kb/s is as high as you can go.
Going on the theory that 320 sounds a bit more hi-fi than 192.
You might as well do it all at once

Re: Exporting Files
Thanks. It's good to know. I haven't submitted anything yet. And I'm glad I haven't because I'd have exported it wrong.

Re: Exporting Files
When you submit through Taxi, your hosting account has a file size limit; 192kb/sec MP3 audio is the recommended bit rate, but you can upload higher-resolution MP3s as long as they don't exceed the file size limit.

Re: Exporting Files
As with many streaming sites, the audio you hear over the web is 128kb/s or thereabouts, but the screeners hear your audio in the resolution/format you uploaded. HTH

320 is the new 192.
